Sponsor a Church Planter

Hundreds of church planters throughout the 10/40 Window are sponsored by EPIC International. This support is provided during the pioneering stages of birthing a church planting movement. It is not meant to be ongoing support over a period of years unless there is some unusual circumstance. Once a movement is birthed, the new churches sponsor their pastors and ultimately their missionaries and church planters.

In most cases, your church planter will plant at least one church a year. Often, a church planter will plant several churches when the church movement is flourishing in his area. Local national leaders coordinate the overall strategy and the church planters as they are trained, share the Gospel, plant churches and disciple new believers.

The concept is a church, class, family, or individual “adopts” a church planter and commits to sponsoring him/her. This is a commitment to church planting and not necessarily to an individual planter. However, you will have a personalized relationship with the planter and receive communication through EPIC from him.

The support varies from $50.00 to $300.00 per month depending on the country and need. For example, a full sponsorship in India for a church planter is $100.00. This provides financial support for his family and regular training. For a church planter in Iran, $300.00 per month is needed for the same needs.

Each sponsor of a church planter realizes a personal relationship with the church planter. Upon sponsorship, a complete profile and description of ministry and people group are sent to the sponsor. Regular reports are mailed during the year providing the sponsor with current prayer requests and accountability for support sent. For sponsors supporting church planters in Muslim countries, reports are less frequent due to security issues.

There are two ways in which you can sponsor a church planter:

(1)	Provide full support for a church planter – the amount varies according to the country. Please check here to view church planters needing support in Asia.

Your sponsorship does not go to a nameless servant (unless security prohibits) but someone with whom you will know the details and can pray regularly and be involved directly. EPIC will be sending you current reports, newsletters, and emails keeping you informed about the progress in launching the church planting movements where your church planter is laboring.
