EPIC’s policy is to sponsor projects that are part of birthing church planting movements process. There is an endless list of projects in which Christians worldwide should consider being involved. However, the end-vision for EPIC is thousands of self-replicating churches planted among unreached people groups. So, EPIC projects center around resourcing evangelism, discipleship, and training leaders.
We sponsor, dedicated, indigenous Christian leaders whose ministry is sharing the Gospel in restricted access areas, places where Western missionaries aren’t welcome and most traditional missions methods aren’t effective. Given the proper resourcing and training, these dedicated local workers can birth and sustain church planting movements. In fact, this borderless evangelism is so dynamic that many Christians feel ours could be the generation that finally wins the world to Christ. EPIC sponsors hundreds of church planters throughout South and Central Asia. You can personally be involved and plant churches through your sponsorship.
Additionally, projects coordinated by these Christian leaders compliment and sustain church planting movements. These vary from something as small as a bicycle for a church planter to something as large as underwriting the translation of the Scriptures in the heart language of an unreached people group. Evangelism and training are at the heart of these projects. Some church planters need copies of the Bible to distribute; others need lanterns for conducting Bible studies at night; leaders need training centers for regular discipleship programs for laity and leadership.
Self-sustaining movements often need assistance in providing livelihood projects which make it possible for nationals to operate without outside assistance. EPIC sponsors village-level industries for leaders which underwrite their church planting efforts.
