Churches join together to focus on one unengaged people group... these efforts are called "Alliances" or "Coalitions." EPIC facilitates several of these and serves churches in becoming strateguc. Missiologist state that there are approximately 650 unengaged people groups of over 100,000 in population and approximately 3,000 unengaged under 100,000 in population. Measure that against 3 million churches in the entire world today and it turns out that: THERE ARE AT LEAST 600 to 700 CHURCHES for every unengaged people group. So, the Coalition concept is a way for these churches to cooperate in making disciples among an unengaged group.
Churches, both large and small, discover that the spiritual gifts and skill sets in their congregation can be paired with those in other churches and together they can do much more than as an individual church.
