Akram is from a Muslim family, so he understands the barriers Muslims have to accepting Christ. He has a vision of reaching Muslims throughout the states of Bihar and Jharkand in northern India. Akram is married with three daughters and an adopted son. He and his wife have also taken in a number of poor children whose parents are unable to care for them.

The Team

Akram's vision is to place at least two Church Planters in every district of Bihar and Jharkand. He has also opened a pharmacy and doctor's office in the remote town where he lives. Up to 500 people a day come. Church Planters, who operate the pharmacy, share the healing that Jesus can bring. Other Church Planters have been trained in basic community health and take medicine with them when they visit the villages. This provides a platform for ministry by meeting community needs.
