About Us

EPIC International was founded in 2000 by Roscoe Brewer. For over 45 years, he has implemented missionary ventures and projects worldwide. He is a noted missions strategist and popular speaker for the cause of world evangelization.

He founded S.M.I.T.E. (Student Missionary Intern Training for Evangelism) in 1965 and thousands of youth and adults have ministered in hundreds of countries in short term programs through this ministry. He is the former chairman of the missions department of Liberty University. Roscoe lives in the Atlanta area with his wife, Margaret. They have four children and ten grandchildren.

Johnny is the Executive Director of EPIC International. He is one of America's most gifted and versatile Christian figures having served as a Christian musician for 25 years. Johnny has worked with many national leaders and their ministries and has been influential in many Christian endeavors from revivals to evangelistic crusades and seminars.

Johnny is leading EPIC into a new era and is coordinating the Coalition of local churches in becoming engaged with unreached people groups primarily in Central and South Asia.

Johnny and his wife Teri, have been married for 27 years and have three sons, Adam, Aaron, and AJ.

Phil has been in ministry for 25 years, having graduated in 1984 from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a degree in Cross-Cultural Church Planting and Pastoral Theology. He has a wide range of ministry as well as vocational experiences. Phil has served as the Senior Pastor of two churches in the United States, and as a Missionary in Guatemala with the Summer Institute of Linguistics (Wycliffe Bible Translators). While in Guatemala he also served as a Field Representative for Helps International.

Phil serves EPIC as the director for Church Planter Sponsorships which coordinates sponsors and donors in the U.S. with national field leaders or church planters. Phil has been married to Jana for 25 years and they have three children: Tyler, Kristen and Casey.

Jana is the church relations coordinator. She graduated in 1984 from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a degree in Cross-Cultural Church Planting and Family Counseling. She has been a partner in ministry with her husband, Phil, for 25 years. During that time she has held a variety of positions. She is a dynamic worship leader and vocal coordinator and Local Bible Study Facilitator in her neighborhood. She has been a teacher in two Christian schools, Church Sunday School Director, and an Assistant in Women’s Ministry. Her top three spiritual gifts are Leadership, Administration and Faith.

Jana is a tremendous team player and a faithful and supportive wife to Phil and mother to their three children, Tyler, Kristen and Casey.

Mike Jackson is responsible for church coalitions and is involved in field strategy development and relationships.

Mike has served as a missionary in the Middle East and Western Europe. He has a B.S. in Finance and Banking, Masters in Religious Education, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Global Apologetics from Liberty University.

Mike lives in Woodstock, Georgia and is married to Joyce Jackson.

Joyce is the Office Manager for EPIC as well as the coordinator for EPIC's English as a Foreign Language (EFL) programs overseas. She has served for over 20 years in church ministries and missions.

Joyce is committed to using English as a Second Language and English as a Foreign Language to build relationships and open doors for church planting with the various people groups of EPIC.

Joyce, and her husband Mike, reside in Canton, Georgia. They have 5 children ranging in age 17-24, and two grandchildren.
